What is playing for success?

The chance for you to attend an exciting after school session at AFC Telford Study Centre.

Why have I been chosen?

People believe in you and your abilities. This is the perfect chance to show everybody exactly what you can do when you try hard.

How often do I come?

You will attend 10 sessions once a week for ten weeks. Each session being 2 hours in duration.

What do I need to bring?

Absolutely nothing! We provide everything you need. You will also have a drink and a snack during your session.

How much will all this cost?

It is all completely free: we just need the commitment and support of you and your parents for 10 weeks.

Do I get to play football?

Not during a session! But as a reward for your attendance you will be awarded a family ticket to a home AFC Telford Untied Game

What will I be doing?

You will spend a lot of time in the Study Centre working on computers. Amongst the many activities you will take part in: are an opportunity to create an interactive presentation and also a chance to meet the players from AFC Telford United. You will also get a tour of the new Bucks Head Stadium, entering places you never knew existed!

Who is going to be there?

You will be working with other pupils from your school. You will meet the Study centre Staff, mentors from the local Secondary Schools/Colleges and staff from the football ground.

How many children join the scheme in each intake?  

15 pupils join the intake for the 10 weeks. 

When do these sessions run?

Primary School sessions run from 3.30pm - 5.30pm
And the secondary school sessions from  5.30pm - 7.15pm.
