Help and accessibility
We are continually working to improve the accessibility and usability of the website in order that it may be used by all.
Navigating through the site
We have tried to make navigation around this site as easy as possible. On the left side of the page and at the top we have used navigation buttons. These can also be accessed using the alt tag attributes.
Text size
If you would like to temporarily adjust the text size to make it either larger or smaller you can do this via your browser settings through selecting View then Text Size. For a permanent solution you may change some of the default settings on your browser by selecting Tools/Options or Edit/Preferences menu. This will alter the way all web pages appear on your screen.
Colours
Every effort has been made to ensure that colour combinations and contrasts do not hinder visibility. However if you wish to change the sites colours you can do so by changing your browser settings.
Viewing Documents
This site uses Microsoft Word for large or complex documents.
If you do not have any software on your computer which can read this format, you can download free Microsoft Office converters and viewers.
Technical issues
Code standards
The Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) develops strategies, guidelines, and resources to help make the Web accessible to people with disabilities. There are three levels of accessibility; 'A', 'AA' and 'AAA'. We aim to conform to at least 'AA' standard for all pages and 'AAA' standard wherever possible. The site uses a Content Management System, which means that each page is created from a template. All templates within the site are XHTML 1.0 and CSS 1.0 compliant, which means that they should work successfully with most browsers.
Website Performance
We will try our best to ensure that access to the website is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. However on some occasions we may need to undertake maintenance at very little notice.
